We sat down with Misha to discuss her approach to her craft, her life away from the camera, and her perspective on an ever-evolving industry.

On Her Look: The Power of Intent

Interviewer: Misha, your look is instantly recognizable—it's powerful and a bit edgy. Is there a philosophy behind your beauty and style, particularly with your makeup?

Misha Cross: Thank you. I’ve always believed that presentation is an extension of intent. My makeup, my style—it’s not about covering up; it’s about highlighting a feeling. I often go for a strong eye or a bold lip because it helps me convey intensity and confidence. It’s a form of armor, in a way. When you walk onto a set, you're stepping into a role, and the way you present yourself visually helps you own that space. It’s about being deliberate and making a statement before you even say a word.

On Her Performance: The Mindset of an Artist

Interviewer: Your scenes are known for their authenticity and a level of commitment that's palpable. How do you prepare for a scene, and what is your mindset when you're performing?

Misha Cross: For me, a scene is a collaboration, a story we're telling. The authenticity comes from truly engaging with my scene partner and being present in the moment. I don’t see it as just going through the motions. I believe in a full emotional and physical commitment. My mindset is to be an open channel for the energy and the narrative of the scene. It's a deep focus, almost meditative. When you're that committed, the performance becomes more than just an act—it becomes an experience.

On Her Life Off-Camera: Finding Balance

Interviewer: With such an intense on-camera persona, what are you like when the cameras are off? What do you do for fun and to recharge?

Misha Cross: It’s vital to have a clear separation. Off-camera, I'm a much quieter person. I find my peace in solitude and creativity. I love to read—everything from classic literature to philosophy. I also spend a lot of time outdoors, hiking and exploring nature. It's my way of reconnecting with myself and resetting. That balance is crucial. The fire I bring to my work comes from a place of inner calm and self-reflection.

On the Future: A Perspective on Change

Interviewer: You’ve seen a lot of change in the industry over the years. What is your perspective on its evolution, and what do you hope for its future?

Misha Cross: The industry is constantly changing, which is both exciting and challenging. What I’ve seen is a shift towards greater performer autonomy and a broader range of content. I think the future lies in recognizing the performers as the artists and entrepreneurs they are. My hope is for continued evolution toward more respect, more creative control, and more opportunities for performers to build sustainable careers on their own terms. It’s a dynamic space, and I’m optimistic about the direction it's heading.
