Albert Einstein has given the most extraordinary developments in the world of science - he has given the picture of gravitation, spacetime, and matter embodied in the General Theory of Relativity (GR). It took Einstein nearly 8 years to find the final and correct form of this theory, after he arrived at his ’Principle of Equivalence’. At this  time he changed not only the fundamental ideas of physics, but also how they were expressed; and the whole style of  theoretical research, the relationship between theory and experiment, and the role of theory, were transformed by him.
Physics has become much more mathematical since then, and it has become commonplace to use purely theoretical
arguments, largely divorced from experiment, to advance new ideas. And this idea was only proposed by Einstein.
I concentrate on explaining
the main ideas in simple language.




Before we start, first you think what is space? Is it like a stage where all the matter (Ie. Earth, Sun, Moon and all celestial body or thing on the Earth) are performing as actors. This is what that we think. But in the year 1905, Albert Einstein concluded that space own is an actor which perform different for different conditions made by different matters. By giving his special relativity, Einstein concluded that the laws of physics are the same for all non-accelerating observers, and the speed of light in vaccum is independent of the motion of all observers. And after ten years by thinking more on this topic Einstein published his theory of General Relativity. By general relativity he determined that massive objects in space cause a distortion in space-time.
 Isaac Newton described the gravity between two object is directly proportional to their product of mass. And how far they are from each other. Yet  Newton's law assume that gravity is an innate force of an object that can act from distance.
 As Albert Einstein contributed in his theory of special relativity that the laws of physics are same for all non-accelerating observers, and he showed that the speed of light in vaccum is same for all observers whether it is at any speed. After all this, he contributed that space and time were interwoven into a single continuum called 'Space-Time'. Einstein contributed that massive objects cause a distortion in space-time. It can be simply explain by putting huge ball of heavy mass on a trampoline at the center. By putting it on trampoline, you will observe that a huge dimple were created at the center of the trampoline. When you throw a marble on trampoline, you will observe that the marble start revolving the huge ball by falling inside the dimple. This shows how our Earth keep rotating around the Sun.

The spinning of heavenly bodies in space cause a disort or twist in space-time around that body. In the year 2004, NASA launched the 'Gravity Probe-B (GP-B). It was precisely calibrated satelite caused the axis of gyroscope inside to drift very slightly over time, as result that coincided with Einstein theory. You can easily understand it by this- suppose Earth is fully in a semi-liquid substance like honey, as Earth rotate inside it then it also swirl the honey around it, this is what which cause by the Earth on space-time. This distortion of the space-time can be done on a huge amount by a huge body like black holes. When this distortion occur around any massive black then there is a transparent donut like structure form around the black hole.
