Health is undoubtedly a important matter for every human. We need to be healthy in order to live a healthy life. However, health of an individual is affected by many factors. There are many factors/reasons due to which a person can suffer from poor health or disease. For example: Maintaining good personal hygiene is very important for maintaining good health. Personal hygiene habit such as washing hands before eating and after eating, after using toilet. It also helps others like people who are in contact of you.
Our social environment also responsible for our good health. Both good economic conditions and job are needed to maintain our good health. For example: a poor person who unable to afford a nutritious meal will not be able to maintain good health. Social equality and harmony also required to maintain a good health. If we treat each other badly, it can increase our mental stress. People with mental stress never be healthy in the real sense.
There are conditions for maintaining good health in our society.
● Good sanitation and clean surroundings
● Social equality and harmony
● Availability of adequate nutritious food
● Availability of clean drinking water
Illness can be defined as "Uncomfortable feelings of our body"or in medical words "Diseases or illness refers to any condition that interferes with the normal functioning of our any organ organ system of our body.
There are two factors which cause for Diseases or Illness.
◆ Internal Factors
◆ External Factors
> Internal factors cause diseases is also known as Metabolic diseases or Organic diseases.
The factors which exists inside our body and cause for diseases are as follow :
● Harmonal imbalance
● Malfunctioning of immune system
● Genetic disorders
● Congenital disorders
( Diseases which present since birth is known as Congenital disorders )
> External factors for causing diseases :
● Poor nourishment
● Microbes
● Environmental factors
> Poor nourishment - It is one of the factor responsible for causing diseases. As we know that nutritious diet contains all the necessary nutrients, which are required for normal healthy function of our body. There are many diseases which caused by poor nourishment.
For example : Beriberi ( deficiency of
Vitamin B1 ), Anaemia ( deficiency of iron ) etc.
[ The diseases cause by poor nourishment is also known as deficiency diseases ]
> Microbes - Microbes are most common factor for causing diseases. But due to our immune system we defend disease cause by microbes ( Pathogen ). Whenever due to weakness of our immune system we can easily got diseases.
Some diseases caused by microbes : TB, Cholera, Tetanus, etc.
> Environmental factors - Environmental factors which are responsible for causing diseases are such as air pollution, use of tobacco, excessive intake of alcohol etc.
Difference between 'Healthy' and 'Disease' free
(Dis+ease = Disease) Littary meaning of disease is 'disturbed ease' means discomfort. In other words, the term 'Disease' refers to an uncomfortable feeling. However one must understand that being disease-free is not same as being healthy. A person can be disease free yet he have poor health. For example: A person might suffer from diarrhoea just before appearing for an interview. Such a diarrhoea is called "nervous diarrhoea" as it occurs on experiencing stress. In this case, if he gets himself tested there may not be any infectious agent present in his/her body. By the given example we can say that he does not have any disease since the disease causing agent present in his/her body, yet he/she is not said be 'healthy'.
Mental disorder
Mental disorder, also called mental illness, it is a behavioral or mental pattern that causes significant distress or weakning of personal behaviour. Such features may be persistent, relapsing and remitting, or occur as a single episode. Many disorders have been described, with its signs and symptoms that vary widely between specific disorders. Such disorders may be determined professional of mental health. Today 21 million people are affected by mental illness globally.

Anxiety
Causes of Mental Disorder
The causes of mental disorders are remain unclear. Theories may incorporate findings from a range of fields. A Me mental disorder can define as a combination of how a person behaves, feels, perceives, or thinks. This may be associated with particular regions or functions of the brain and how he/she behave socially. A mental disorder is one aspect of mental health. Cultural and religious beliefs, as well associal norms, should be taken into account when making a diagnosis.
